"I was hearing a sound from my tilt and trim in Sept. In December I tried the unit by pushing the up and down button on the throttle and it would not do anything. I lowered the unit manualy and the power tilt and trim worked so I put it on the water. At the end of the day, the motor would not engage and I had to lift it manually. If I drain the hydraulics and replace the fluid do you think this will take care of the problem. I assumed there was a piece of trash in the line that freed up. Where did the trash come from? What do you think? How hard is it to work on?"

The sound was a bump bump bump

The sound was a bump bump bump sound. Almost like it was sticking. I have considered buying a shop manual. Is one better than another?
