" I have in my possession a Johnson K-35 motor.
I would like to know what year it was made in and on average what motors like this sell for. I don't know much about motors so I can't really give a good description. It looks to be in fair shape it's missing the prop, and I don't know if it runs. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks "

"That's a 1927 6hp Johnson. I have no idea as to what it may be worth. However, years ago, OMC had a sesrch out for old engines and they were offering a trade of a new engine for those old engines.... even offering engines of a higher horsepower. You might want to check into that.

There is a book by Peter Hunn, called The Old Outboard Book. It has historical and technical information on the early outboards and a price guide for the motors based on condition.

If you would ever want to part with that motor, I would be interested. As I live in South Bend & collect the motors made here.
