Mariner 25hp, having trouble to remove carburetor

trying to remove the carb, however, there is a linkage mechanism between the carb body and flying wheel (as pic), i completely had no idea how to remove the linkage to take the carb out. any suggestion?

also, for some reason, the throttle cable is out of track, tried several time, can't place it back into the locking hole. Please help. thanks a lot.cable.jpglinkage_1.jpglinkage_2.jpg
 
You need to take the plastic bits off of the front of the carb to remove it ,2 screws will do it. Where is the bracket that holds the throttle cable in place ? Was this converted from a remote to a tiller? To put the throttle back in will take a little trial and error but without the bracket it doesn't help.
