1986 Mercury Classic 50 - I cant find the right tool!

So long story short - I broke my Carraige Assemly on my lower. I have now bought a $150 puller to remove it but it is too big to fit inside the holes. Can anyone please tell me what puller I am supposed to buy? And if you know where to get one? Details on engine and lower as follows.

A short piece of 4x4 with 7/8 hole so propshaft can stick thru, slide over shaft, install thrust washer and prop nut. 2lb hammer and pop on each side will walk it out.
