I am restoring a 1985 17' invader. The ignition switch is bad (turn key and no power crosses to any pins). I am trying to get an understanding of what happens when you turn on the ignition as it relates to the orange wire. Looks like it heads to the mercury switch and the switch boxes. when you turn the key should power be sent down this wire?
Any other things I should be aware of regarding the switch and how it should work would be great.
