Determining Rotation

I have a replacement motor for my 1967 318 Chrysler Marine. I believe the original engine was reverse rotation. (it was in a single-screw CC Cavalier)
Can anyone tell me how to tell the rotation of the new engine? I don't have its starter. Is there any way to look at them and tell? They look the same to me.
