View Full Version : Suzuki DF140 Engine loses oil

Hello, my engine loses oil.
The water shows a light film of oil.

Suzuki DF140 from 2006. After dismantling the gearbox housing, there is some engine oil in the housing that drips on the ground when the engine is tipped. (See picture) The gearbox itself is completely dry. If you look at the bottom of the engine housing you can see an oil film under the sump and maybe a track on the side wall (inside)
The oil apparently only escapes when the engine is running and then accumulates in the area of the gearbox.

In the last winter the boat stood outside for the first time, there was no problems during the season.

Does anyone have an idea?
Thank you Ralph
