Hi, wondering what year this monster? My wife just brought this one home, really in mint condition. Serial number: 4869148. Are these good motors? In all my years of marine repairs, I have NEVER worked on one. Thanks, Tim
 
It a first generation 2L...1978. Make sure it has control box and trim pump. Lower unit is a pin shift like a Inline
 
Has control box and trim pump. Tons of power for a 380 lb package. Probably a gas guzzler but we intend to use it for freighting into our camps in remote NW Ontario. Big construction jobs next season. Its on a 22 ft. aluminum, two chairs, the rest open cargo. Very light boat, big and deep.Starcraft.
