9.9C zinc locations

I want to replace the zincs on a 1994 9.9C 2 cycle outboard. I've located two, the ones on the outside of the motor. The third one eludes me. From the manual I have, quote, "1 piece of protective zinc is installed in the engine water passages to ...". From the diagrams it appears to me that I have to remove the cylinder head to get to this zinc. Is that true? Help please.

Yes you would need to take the exhaust cover off, but I would not do that, if you break a bolt you have problems, and those gaskets will also break, there are 2, so just don't replace that anode, as long as you flush your motor with fresh water after use you will be fine.
