Hey guys,
I'm trying to restore my grandfather’s 1978 Mariner 8hp but can’t find a replacement carburetor. One of the posts that you put pin in for the float to hing on is broken. I’ve searched the internet until I’m blue in the face with no luck. Just wondering if anyone on here had any advice on where to search.

I’m going to take it to welding/machine shop tomorrow and see what they can do. I’ll send pictures when I get back to house. Thanks

I couldn’t find someone to repair the carb so I went back to the internet and found a possible match. The serial numbers don’t match but from my research they seem to be comparable. If anyone on here can help me verify this it would be greatly appreciated.

The carb I have is 1383-7189M or 1383-9523M
