On the spur of the moment I bought an old 10 foot Alloy dingy with a 9.5 evinrude on a trailer for a few hundred dollars it is pretty rough the bloke I bought it from used it on his farm dam {pond} .At some stage the centre thwart was removed and a brace put in its place in a fairly agricultural way.I intend to make a new centre thwart by folding some 20g aluminium sheet and filling with expanding foam .
Living in the country I don't have marine supply store handy and was wondering if the expanding polyurethane foam aerosol type cans you can get from the hardware store would work ok?
