"Just picked up a evinrude boa

"Just picked up a evinrude boat with a johnson meteor II motor on it. Found these numbers where the motor attaches to the boat. I am dieing to try and start this thing but do not know what the premix ratio is, can anyone help with that or give me ANY other info about this motor? Please e-mail me directly at [email protected], as I want to start this ASAP. Thanks in advance.

It says 85 hp at 5000 r.p.m.
model # 85893A and Serial # E02489"

"Tyler..... That engine is a 1968 85hp model. You may use the 50/1 ratio mix (1 pint oil to 6 gal fuel) safely. Just be sure to use a good quality oil. If the engine's been sitting for awhile (a few months or more), be sure to clean and rebuilt the caruretors before attempting to run it. If they're fouled, even slightly, the engine will run lean (if it runs at all) and severe problems will result)
