1986? Mercury classic fifty 45 hp tilt/trim help!

I'm replacing the milky white/brownish fluid in my tilt on my 1986 or so Mercury classic fifty but i'm having trouble finding where the reservoir tank is and how to drain that so the new fluid doesn't mix with the old. I can see that the lines go to a pump. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
Which system ? But when you say "lines to a pump" I presume you mean this one.If this is the case,the square bit below is the reservoir.Just take the lines off the rams,open the vent and let the old fluid pour out.
To refill,connect the lines,open the fill screw,fill and operate with vent open until it purges all the air.
Of course I may be wrong and it's a different system,but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.:)
