DT15 Fuel pump problem

I have a DT15 manual start, tiller outboard.
It runs very smooth but I have a problem with the fuel pump.
Replaced with new pump diaphame kit. It runs well untill it runs out of fuel.
Question: doesn't the fuel pump (on side of Carburator) have any non-return valves in the pump?
What prevents the fuel from being pushed back into feed line when it pumps?
My tank is half meter higher than motor but even this does not help.
Help much appreiated.

Test run with another hose and tank or check the pick up tube inside your fuel tank.---------A no money spent check.-----Yes there are check valves in a fuel pump.

Why would the check valves not be included in a replacement kit?
When looking at the spares catalogue it shows non?
Running a Yamaha 30hp on the same hose and tank they work fine - but I wil check to mae sure.
Thanks

Thanks Racerone, did as you sugested - used another hose and tank but still the same.
Opened up the fuelpump again - deffinately no check valves in mine.
Went through two spares catalogues and both dont show ceck valves or part No's for check valves.
So where do I get?
Thanks again for the help

Hi Racerone, here are a photo of the exact same pump as mine, it just does not have the check valves as per pic (red arrow)
Online catalogues or PDF catalogues don't show the valves.
What will the part No be for the check valves or do I have to buy a complete pump?
