BF130 2000 - Engine Runs smooth but Tach is not correct.

Tach shows like 4000 at Idel and 7000 RPM at Half and is pegged at WOT.

engine sounds smooth and normal.


any thoughts, things to test?

I have questions...

Has this tach worked ok before this?

What brand tach is it? Faria? Teleflex? Other?

Does it have a rotating switch on the back of it?

What is the switch pointer set on?
