Good morning folks, i am new to this forum & to boating & am in need of information on how to disconnect the throttle cable that runs through the handlebar on my 1989 honda bf8ah. the handlebar got broken while attempting to raise the motor with the handlebar in the down position & the motor tilted in the forward position. i have a replacement handlebar but i don't see how the old throttle friction knob at the end of the arm comes off. i don't want to force it if i don't have to. if someone can guide me through the whole removal process of the handlebar i would greatly appreciate it ! thanks in advance !
