prop slides on shaft

I have a 1995 (i think,no Serial # plate) Force 70HP outboard. The prop slides back and forth on the prop shaft about a 1/4 of a inch. The thrust washer (in front of the prop) slides all the way to the front of the splines. The prop goes on easily, and the rear spacer engages the spline until it bottoms out. Nut cannot tighten up the slack because the spacer is bottomed out on the spline. The prop turns as it should, there is just what I feel to be excessive front to rear movement (not shaft movement). Measuring the mating surfaces of the Thrust Washer and the spacer with the prop off and both bottomed out measures about 3 3/8 inches. The measurement of the mating surfaces of the prop is about 3 1/4. The prop doesn't appear to be damaged. Is this play in the prop normal or am I being paranoid?

here is a short video of the prop movement

from every drawing I've seen, they are in the correct places. Since I cannot find the serial number, I can't verify I have the correct part numbers though. Any Ideas?

here is a video of the parts coming off in order. It goes: Nylock nut, tabbed lock washer, spacer (stamped part number 6M0042293), Prop (stamped 0A2063K), thrust bearing (stamped 835248)

Also, I noticed the splines in the rubber hub of the prop only go about 2/3 of the way through the prop, and you can move the prop around on the shaft (in a circle). Not sure if this is normal either.

Looks like it's the wrong prop and hub.
The coupler has way too much slop.
More pics of the prop and hub, both ends and make it a close up.

The black center piece the hub.
Is it in backwards? Don't know if that's possible but check??
Try knocking it out. It should pop right out?
Then compare it to another at the local Mercury dealer?
Over on iboats there is a prop forum. Try there.
