Converting 250 EFI 30" to a 25"

Hi,
I have a 2000 Mercury 250 EFI with a 30" leg (XXL) that I would like to convert to a 25" leg (XL). Is this difficult and/or costly to do?

Not if you can get the leg cheap and just swap the power head.

It is a Saltwater series S/N 0t121929, not sure if that is the same as an Optimax. It is a year 2000 250 HP EFI

You should have the 5" spacer and would need to change the lower unit mounting studs/bolts and new 25 " driveshaft for lower unit. May be cheaper to install a jackplate and raise it...
