1981 7.5 hp water coming out of my spark plug holes

I replaced my impeller fired the motor up and it ran real well, then noticed water coming out of my sparkplug holes. I replaced the gasket on the water cover and still have water coming out. the motor is running very well.
 
Seen that many a time. Try again, but this time make a washer-like gasket about 2 inch OD for each of the spark plug locations. Use them AND the stock gasket together, along with silicone on both sides of the gaskets in that area. The idea is to stuff extra gasket thickness around the plug areas, to make a better seal.
