i redid my boat floor
did not want to add carpet ....
used Rustolem deck over paint 2X
dries to a non skid very hard surface
and available in many colors
applied with a special "knobby" roller
 
Another solution is KiwiGrip. It's a one-coat non-slip coating. I've been using it for 4 years, now. Nice thing about it is that if you get scars and mars, touchup blends in so that the repair is not noticeable. Draw back is that it is darned pricey.
 
I bought a quart of skid-no-more acrylic latex and seems to be holding up well, just mix it with high quality acrylic latex base 50 50 and you can overcoat it any color you like.
