Need some insight on rudder removal, I have all the obvious bolts out but rudder still won't budge. don't want to apply too much force just yet till I'm sure that I haven't overlooked something.
application is a midsize twin engine sportfish......has a robust rudder and housing then post goes through a rudder shelf that has a bearing housing with a grease fitting and 4 bolts into the shelf. above that there is a collar with a bolt that retains the rudder post then an arm that connects to the rudder tie bar.
all obvious bolts are removed and the packing nut is backed off????
won't budge.
