how to separate stuck lower unit

If it has not dropped at all it is likely that the spline of the driveshaft is stuck in the spline of the crankshaft.----Difficult to use heat in that area.--------I have used adapters and hydraulic puller to remove stubborn units.

Ayuh,.... If it's the drive shaft stuck in the crank shaft, hang it upside-down,.....

If there's the tiniest crack, pump it fulla penertratin' oil,.... Hopefully, it'll run down the drive shaft, where it can do some good,...
