Is there any info out there o

Is there any info out there on converting a Ford Flat Head Engine that was used in a car to marine use?
I'd like to convert this flat head for use in my boat.
Thanks!

"John,
Thirty years ago there

"John,
Thirty years ago there were kits to convert that engine. Lehman Mfg. made one. I don't think you will find one now.

There is a book on converting automotive to marine engines, it is out of print but probably readly available in the used book market. It is called Marine Conversions : Car Engine Conversions for Boats. by Nigel Warren.

Also many of the marine engine books from the period of 1930 to 1970 included conversion information.

Regards,
Andrew"

" Thanks Andrew...I'll ask

" Thanks Andrew...I'll ask around, maybe someone just might have a copy of the book. It's just what I'm looking for. My real worry is what's different in the block itself. I heard that you need to drill down the center of the crank for oil flow? "

"John,

Here is a [url=""]li

"John,

Here is a link to a copy of the book for sale in the UK. If you check the used book search sites you will probably find one in your area.

Andrew
