Helicoil for Water Pump Bolt Hole

My 1-hour impeller replacement job is now into week 2, with a new problem. One of the mounting bolt holes has stripped threads. I'm looking at a Helicoil for a fix.

I'm assuming I should use SS Helicoil? Anybody done this? Tips/precations?

I see lots of posts on spark plug thread fixes, none on water pump mount bolts.
 
Right. One addition to the usual instructions: To make sure the tap goes in straight, start it with the housing in place. Once you get it going, remove the housing and finish tapping.
