visual alarm system for outboards?

I am deaf in more than half of the normal hearing spectrum and wondered if anyone has ever heard of or seen a visual alarm system for Mercury outboards?

You can make your own by installing a 12v lamp on dash tied into warning horn. I installed one on my Bullet next to tach as you could not hear horn @80mph. It will blink when it goes thru self test and flash if oil or steady if hot

Thanks, thats a great idea. I'll see if I can find a wiring diagram for my new engine to tell where to wire it into. Thanks again
