Proper operating temp for a 60HP 4 stroke bigfoot

My smart gauge is indicating 125-128 degrees. What is this temperature of the oil, water inside the motor or head temp. Seems low to me.

The temp sender measures coolant (water) temp. Your outboard uses a 120 degree thermostat, so 125 degrees is the correct operating temp.
