I'm trying to chase down why my oil pump is giving me beeps. I have checked the oil cap float switch and it checked OK. Check the rotor sensor, I get 12v
on the white wire ,when I probe the gray and white wire I get 5v. I removed all the plugs and turn the starter ring and the 5v never go's away.
I thought that the pump was not turning and the magnet happen to be in the correct spot to trigger the sensor . I removed the rotor sensor and still 5v
I unplugged the wires and the 5v is coming from the control box. I'm thinking the 5v should be coming from the sensor back to the box. I checked all 6 plugs and they all are getting fire. I think I understand the test . if I'm wrong please correct me.
