1997 mercury seapro 225 carb oil/fuel leak.

Hello all.

I recently purchased a used boat with a mercury 225 carb engine. The engine runs fine but recently noticed it was using up quite a bit of gas and oil. I removed the cover and noticed that when I had the motor running that there was a mist coming out of the left side (looking at engine from boat towards the back/ right next to the relays mounted under a cover). There are 3 small hoses mounted on a metal plate in the area where the mist was coming from. It was getting late so I couldn't really see if it was coming out of the hoses or from the head gasket. Which would be the more likely place for the leak. If it's the gasket or seals is that something one can do on their own or does it have to be done in a shop?

I am located in pompano beach Florida just in case anyone has or know a good reliable mechanic.

Is that one of the three lines that is in the area that I am referring to? I will pass by after work tomorrow and take a few pictures. How would I check if it is the bleed line?
