1996 75 hp Force plug wires ?

Can the plug wires on the 96' Force be changed or do you need to change the coil also? I was going thru my engine to get it ready for fall fishing and was thinking of changing the plug wires but they appear to be part of the coils. But I have seen on line that you can purchase the wires separately so I am a bit confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
You sure it's a 96.
The 96 has replaceable wires.
Why replace?
They usually don't go bad?
To test, run it after dark and see if the leads are shorting out.
 
Yes its a 96' I was just doing a tune up and thought since they are originals that I would go ahead and replace them. The engine is running fine.I didn't know if they just pull out of the coil or not,they seem to be in really tight. I didn't want to go jerking on them too hard and find out that I may end up screwing up the coil.
