Boat has just been put back in water after 18+/- years sitting on the trailer! got engine running (85hp force) docked in boat house over weekend and sank to top of trim in 3 days! Bailed and "assumed" the plug was weak and leaked (????) checked for other obvious entry spots....all good??? Took out again this weekend, ran great, fished for a couple of hours, dang if there wasn't water filling the battery box area by the time we go back to boat house!!! No ideas............any suggestions? We checked all live well connections, could the rear drain deck plugs not be working correctly?
New at the boating - any help would be so so appreciated.
Thanks:confused:

Put it back on the trailer. Put jack stands under the trailer. Remove battery. Fill up the bilge area with water from a garden hose and see where it comes out.

agree with Chawk on fill with water...a place that is ofter over looked is where this type boat hits the trailer when driving the boat back on the trailer..look a little below the water line in the middle v of the boat....bad trailer boat match when this happens but dealers do it...

Not sure on your usa trailers but on ours in oz at the rear we have these long skids either side of keel to support boat on rollers ive had three boats wear through the glass where it sits on the skids filled bilge to false floor in 30 mins 300 plus liters poor old Chrysler 70 never worked so hard to get us home, dragged it out onto trailer, dropped the plugs and watched the water just pour out. Check your keel at the bow area they rub badly there when docking onto beach ramps etc
