I have an Interceptor 312ci/2

I have an Interceptor 312ci/215hp in a Century Reporter 16. The serial number is #351821. How do I identify the transmission type and model? I am trying to solve a couple of problems 1) when in neutral the prop shaft rotates quite a bit causing the boat to move forward and 2) the engine stalls easily when shifted into reverse. Any help and guidance will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

"Tom, if the transmission is

"Tom, if the transmission is hydraulic (has it's own oil supply, usually ATF), it's probably a Velvet-Drive. Look closely on the housing for any numbers or an ID tag. You might then check with the folks at www.velvetdrive.com.

Your spinning prop in neutral sounds like an adjustment in the clutches, but I'm not an expert on this tranny. The stalling in reverse (not forward?) may again be a clutch adjustment along with some carb tweaking.

Check the sites for the Century Boat Club and the Antique and Classic Boat Society for support for your classic Resorter.
