" I have a 318 FWC rebuilt in 98. She ran hot (220)and manifolds were quite hot also. Last season I installed new manifolds and one new riser. The temp is now down to about 180 and manifolds and risers are now warm to touch at cruising speed. Since the new manifolds, I now have excessive steam from the exhaust. I always thought that excessive steam was cured by installing new manifolds and risers so I'm a little stumped here. The steam only appears at higher speeds and cruising. No steam at slow speeds. I thought perhaps a raw water leak within the manifolds or risers to exhaust but would rather not dismantle the system without checking to see if anyone had any other ideas first. Thanks in advance. You are probably going to have to check the raw water side of the heat exchanger... and maybe also the oil cooler.
