Inherited dad's old '86 14' fiberglas bass boat with Classic fifty 45 horse motor. He had a problem with lower unit the best I remember and had a shade tree guy replace it with a used lower unit. Never got to take it out. I took it out for the first time recently. Eased it to half throttle for a ways to be easy on her I thought. Decided to open her up as all was going well. Nothing changed. Not speed, not power, not sound, not revs. Nothing changed between full throttle and half way. Any suggestions?
