I have a 1982 DT2 2hp. I have this overheating issue that the new head gasket did not fix. The impellor looks just fine. When I blow compressed air through the water intake I get no air coming out the tell tail. There must be a blockage somewhere. I removed the head and replaced the gasket. Also replaced the engine to lower unit gasket. All passages looked open. The cylinder sleeve had some debris so I removed that. I'm not sure if there is supposed to be an opening in the bottom of the cylinder sleeve for water passage. I did not see one, just thought water went in through the cylindar head and out through the cylindar head. Can someone confirm?
