I am looking at starting my first restoration and would appreciate a little advice.
I have had several smaller watercraft previously and know that a boat of any size is expensive. That being said, I still am wanting to take this project on.
The boat I am looking at is a 55' Chris Craft. My previous life experience when working on electrical systems on just about anything (From my house, my smaller boats, and automotive) has taught me to research heavily in the matter before I start trying to "FIX" anything.
1. I am assuming that the boat's original electrical system was not a "Square D" fuse box like I would find at home depot. Is this type of conversion for the 110 / 220 vac aspects of the boat OK?
2. I am curious to know if anyone might know where I could find an original wiring diagram for a given boat? Are they available for purchase? I ask because the helm was disassembled so that it could be re-chromed and none of the wires were marked.
Any advice would be appreciated.
