New to this forum, I have a 1987 DT75, Tilt & trim motor has died, carried to mechanic, initially had zero power to engine and or TT, He called and said he has power now, but TT motor is shot> He said he really did not trust buying one off EBay, and suggested me trying to find a shop to rebuild this motor. I have looked on Ebay and find plenty that indicate they are for my year and model, from 103.00 to 275.00, none look like what is on my boat but assuming this motor may be inside of a housing on my trim unit.
Any experience or suggestions? The fact that they do not look the same is a concern, but may be my lack of knowledge. I have bought and sold a good bit on Ebay and found on item specific parts most sellers do a good job of letting you know what it will and won't fit.
