After searching for an answer, I'm stumped.
A recently new to me boat has two batteries. The positive wires are attached to the selector switch as expected.
The ground wires are where I get confused.
The ground from Battery #2 is attached to a metal cylindrical shaped thing. From the other side of this device a wire connects to Battery #1 ground, and the ground wire to the engine is also attached to Battery #1.
There is a small red and black wires going into the cylindrical shaped thing and the wires go towards the engine. Not sure where they go exactly.
Any idea what this thing is that's between the grounds on battery #2 and #1?
