Hi, my 1999 Suzuki DF70 has recently started making a very unusual noise occasionally at idle, and only when in neutral. It sounds almost like a blower or loud buzzing noise, but as the boat is put in gear it will goes away immediately though when going back to neutral it will make a loud click or clunk and the idle noise will begin again. The noise seems fairly constant even when revving the engine at idle, and the boat runs fine otherwise. I am in New England and on several cold starts I briefly get the engine code 31 (which I understand is the idle air control code), but this code does not occur when the idle noise is happening. Could a bad Idle Air Control valve cause this horrible noise?
