Help With Identification.

Before I make the drive to look at an outboard I found listed, I was hoping to get some help authenticating. The motor is listed as a 1988, 15 HP, 2 stroke, electric start and the owner "thinks" it is a short shaft. Does that check out? Thanks.SJC2.jpg

Sure they marketed such a motor!-----------But be aware that motors are often misidentified.------------Saw a 1988 looking motor couple of weeks ago that had a 1974 powerhead on it.-----------------Teach yourself on how to identify motors using the word ----INTRODUCES-----------Learn about that on this site !!
 
Trying to post a pic. I need to shrink it so it will fit. Thanks.
EDIT: Looks like I got the pic posted. My big concern is if it is a short shaft or not.

A long shaft would have a 5" spacer piece above the lower unit.---That would be clearly visible in a picture.--------The motor in the picture is a short shaft.
