Crappy key/ignition switch. Need help getting the right one!

I'm new to the boating world and am in the process of restoring a 2000 Sweetwater Pontoon that's been abandoned. The key currently works but it seems to be worn out, hard to push-to-prime, the safety chord will not stay on unless I hold it on, and the key feels flimsy.....so I would like to replace it. Should I do an all in one or should i separate the kill switch from the ignition. Does anyone have any suggestions or could recommend a type or brand?

I take it that this is an Outboard engine.
Since the key switch includes the fuel enrichment function, I'd suggest that you go the Outboard forum for your make engine, and post your question.

Agree with Rick. You want to probably purchase the harness that runs from the engine to the console, and the key switch that will plug in directly to that harness.
