Oil in engine water cleanup

Got water in oil in the 305

Got water in oil in the 305 chevy volvo. What is best to clean up white gooey mess after daining oil. Even the bilge has oil in the water . Suspect craked block but have not taken anything apart yet. Could it be exhaust risers. Just had engine all tuned and it was running great. Thanks......BigBob

" BigBoB is your engine fresh water cooled or raw water cooled? If the manifolds and risers are cracked or leaking, water will show up in one or more of the cylinders, pull out the plugs and check. If the block or heads are cracked, you can pressurized the block and test for pressure loss.
Adding a quart of ATF to the engine and running to temperature can help to remove the goo avoid heavy loads, and change the oil and filter frequently until goo is gone. Don't do this until you've determined the source of the water. "
