1987 johnson 90 vro v4

Is the automatic oiler in service ??-----If that has been bypassed you need to mix 50:1 yourself.---------If you do a lot of full throttle running than a little extra oil does not hurt.-------Plug gap can be 0.030" to 0.040" and not all that critical.
 
I don't know,this is the first boat ive owned that has that,dum question but how can I tell,the prev owner mixed it him self,now if it has a self oiling system then there should be a res. somewhere
 
If the previous owner mixed it himself , then he bypassed the VRO / automatic oiler. So just continue to mix at 50:1.
 
ya I did locate it there is a hose out the bottom of pump the is plugged off,and there is no tank anywhere,thanks for info
