90s Johnson 5hp fuel mix?

Hi guys - does anyone happen to know of the correct fuel mix for a johnson 5hp 2stroke (2 cylinder) motor from approx mid 90s?


The model is johnson 5hp bj5drleod


I've owned it for donkeys years but not used in a long time due to having a 4stroke now, but now I want to mix some fresh juice I can't find out the correct mix anywhere! It looks the same as the one in this youtube video if it helps:

While I think on it, when it runs on the existing fuel (it's a bit old admittedly), the engine white smokes a bit when revved. It might be normal and just seems conspicuous now I'm used to 4 stroke engines but I thought I'd ask.

The water in the small barrel gets mucky and oily on the surface fairly quickly (ie after about 10 minutes running), but I'm assuming a certain amount of this is to be expected due to the nature of a 2 stroke o/b with the way the oil goes through the system etc?
