I have an old Evinrude 1965 40hp and would like to know if running a fully synthetic outboard oil in it with todays fuels would be alright. I was thinking along the lines of Penzoil's synthetic TCW3 oil as they are a manufacturer and may also blend oil for other brands. Anyone else have these vintage outboards and use synthetic oil in them?
