Gearcase grease

I am looking for the proper gearcase grease to put in a 1970 evinrude 4hp 4006E , I do not own this engine yet and I would like to start it before I buy it but the gearcase neads grease. Also if anyone has any info on this engine, good or bad feal free to let me know. Thanks Will
 
90 weight outboard gear oil is what you use.-------There might be a reason for the case to be empty.-------------Check for a leak !
 
That little motor was made for nearly 30 years ------many minor variations in the later years. An excellent little motor , and simple and easy to maintain.
