Tilt/trim motor replacement adapter

I have a 1977 Johnson 115 hp with the original (obsolete) Calco tilt/trim system. My tilt motor is bad. I understand there was someone who designed and machined an adapter to attach to the existing reservoir which allowed a new, more modern motor to be attached to it. Does anyone have any information about where or how to obtain this adapter? A forum from years back suggested contact by email at [email protected] , but I haven't been able to get any response at this address. This adapter would be a great solution to my problem. Any information or other options would be greatly appreciated.

You can also look into using one of the common Mercury / Mercruiser pump reservoir packages that mount inside the boat.--They are away from any water.

Thanks for the quick response. That's an idea I may have to explore if I can't locate the guy who makes the adapter. Any experience with how to convert to an inside the boat Mercruiser system or specific model suggestions???
