Need some help on a charging system 15 - 20 hp 2 stroke

I'm thinking about a larger motor for my 12' Achilles inflatable. I don't think the little 6hp 2 stroke Johnson is going to cut it. Due to weight restrictions, I want to stay with a 2 stroke and I'm looking at something in the 15 -20 hp range. The boat is rated for 6 -25 hp.
The inflatable will be used primarily for fishing (fresh & salt water) and I would like to have the ability to charge a battery. If I can find one with an electric starter, I know that would solve my problem with charging the battery. Is it the rectifier which generates the charging output? If so, what is involved in putting one on the motor if not so equipped?
I am presently looking at a low hour Evinrude E15RCCS manual start and may consider purchasing it, if I make modifications so it will generate 12 volts (don't need a lot of amps).
