I have a 70 hp.Johnson 1979 70EL79R , it has no spark on the #2 cyl. number 1 and 3 has great spark. it jumps 7/16 gap.
I changed the coil and it does the same thing,changed the power pac and it does the same thing.
I checked the stator with an ohm meter , I set meter to rx100 , checked pin's (c and d ) in amphenol plug to ground it read no continuity.
I then connected ohm meter leads to (c and d ) meter went to " 0 " I then swaped the leads to (d and c ) the meter went to "0" also,
It never read 480 +or - 25..............new stator? please help.
