I cannot get my 9.9 to run without the choke on. It starts right up with choke, but if I take the choke off, the motor starts to rev up, then stalls.
I have checked fuel lines, and have cleaned the carb several times.
One thing I don't understand.
There are 2 vent holes on the top of the carb. 1 hole is to vent the bowl,so air can escape when fuel comes in.
The other hole goes to the ventricle tube/main jet area. If I shoot carb cleaner into the hole, cleaner shoots out of the ventricle tube and the lower main jet?
Would that mean that when the motor is trying to suck fuel, the motor would get air from this hole?
Is this normal?
