Prop shaft leaking water into the boat

I have a V drive trans and I noticed that water is slowly leaking into the boat where the shaft meets the trans. it appears to have a hose and hose clamp where it is leaking where can I get information on how to fix this; and is the hose and clamp the only thing that keeps the water out of the boat?
 
Generally called a " stuffing box "-------------Do you see a big nut that you can tighten ?------------A big nut there can be tightened to rediuce the leak to an acceptable level.----------You must not tighten it so that there is no leak.----------------You can get a " dripless " mechanical seal too if you want to spend some coin.
